How to find your soul’s purpose from your birth chart

Before we dive into how to find your soul’s purpose from your birth chart and the points that reveal, I want to clarify my position on what a soul’s purpose is from a psychospiritual perspective.

Most importantly -

Your career or profession is not your soul’s purpose

At least it isn’t for most people.

When people reach out to me for a soul’s purpose reading, I always have to first understand whether they’re actually after a career reading (fortunately, I offer both).

The idea that the only way to live your soul’s purpose is to make a financial success or a specific career path out of it is a limiting belief that could be hindering you from exploring and experiencing your purpose in life fully.

Your soul’s purpose extends far beyond the confines of a professional trajectory.

The pursuit of meaning and purpose also does not inherently require that you earn money from whatever it is that lights up your soul.

Of course, for some people, it’s clear as day in their natal charts that their soul’s purpose also involves a career, and a very specific one at that.

For the rest of us, our career (or the way in which we earn money) could be anything under the stars and planets that simply aligns with the things that we’re good at (even if we end up changing fields... a lot) and that doesn't make us hate our everyday life, the most precious time we have on this Earth.

And after our bread-and-butter work is done for the day, we can switch off and dedicate our time to the things that bring a sense of expansion into our lives.

With this in mind, you’re not doing anything wrong if you’re not career-oriented and simply want to live a more meaningful life, aligned with your soul’s purpose. You don’t need to go out and earn money from it.

However, if you do want to align your soul’s purpose with your career or business, understanding your soul’s purpose can give you that extra bit of confidence to make things happen.

Now that I’ve explained my point of view on what one’s soul’s purpose can be, I want to share what I often see in my soul’s purpose readings when they learn about their true purpose in life.

What typically happens when you discover your soul’s purpose

Let’s say you now know what your soul’s purpose is.

You feel excited, inspired, at ease.

But what I see time and again is that this knowledge alone doesn’t always mean that you’re ready to fully embody it already today.

Some of it may scare you for the shifts that it may requires from you.

Some of it you may have a deep antipathy towards (which is a sign of growth needing to still take place).

Knowing your soul’s purpose is not the same as being ready to execute it tomorrow, next month, or next year.

Because if you were told that you’re meant to be a spiritual leader, publishing your unique thoughts on topic x or working in a completely different field, you would either freak out because you can't see how you’d be equipped to do that, or you’d laugh at the mere thought of it because your life at present is so far from any of that being a possibility.

Living your soul’s purpose takes several steps before it can actually manifest -

✨️ Understanding what it is and how it’s different from your current path

✨️ Accepting any familiarity that your soul’s purpose requires you to let go of

✨️ Committing to a daily, intentional practice of growing into it

In fact, the process of manifesting your soul’s purpose is often enough more important than reaching the final destination.

Do not use this as a further way to see yourself as having failed at life. You haven’t - life is a process of growing into your highest potential.

To continue growing into your soul’s purpose, it's important to ask yourself whether the choices you’re making today are helping you take baby steps closer to living your soul’s purpose, whether they’re taking you further away from your soul’s purpose or even keeping you safely in your comfort zone.

Now that you know how you may react to discovering your soul’s purpose let’s dive into the details of how to identify it from your natal chart.
